AARBA funds the research aimed to increase the life quality of adolescents at mental illness risk

The executive board’s congratulations go to Valentina Tirelli, the winner of the Ettore Caracciolo scolarship of € 10.000 for the research project: “ABA in adolescents at mental illness risk”.

The research project drew AARBA executive board attention because of its high social value: the early school leaving and the academic failure are two of the most powerful factors for the development of several psychopathologies, such as mood disorders, personality disorders, pathological addictions, psychotic onsets, etc. This research project’s goal is bringing the applied behavior analysis in those mental health’s services aimed at young people, in order to teach them autonomy and study method and encouraging academic success.

Such a research project is internationally unprecedented.
