The application of Behavior-Based Safety to safe driving (BBS-D), will arrive at the 1st Safety Work Forum organized by the Cesena Fair.

 

BBS-D: the application that operates safe behaviors while driving

 

Road accidents, of which 1,623 mortals in 2017 alone (data from the Italian National Institute of Statistics – ISTAT), are the main cause of death in the workplace in industrialized countries, as well as a huge cost for companies if we think about repairs, reparations and bad social visibility.

The automotive industry and new digital technologies, support companies to achieve the reduction of road accidents with the introduction of passive (eg safety belts, airbags, …) and active (eg ABS, ESP, Active Brake, … ) safety systems that. Although these systems are highly performing, they can not ignore the added value that can only be given by the driver’s performance. The drivers are the best proactive safety system, as their perfect functioning prevents almost all accidents, extends vehicle’ life and reduces fuel consumption.

For this reason, the European scientific association for the study and the application of Behavior-Based Safety – AARBA, has studied a smartphone application (BBS-D) based on the principles and rules of behavior analysis, that measures and changes safe behaviors while driving.

 

The Safety Work Forum

 

After 10 years from the Italian Legislative Decree on work safety (D.Lgs. 81/2008), there is a “full picture” of the legal liability of all the people involved in the management of safety, from both a penal and a civil point of view.

For this reason, the Fair of Cesena has decided to organize the first Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition in the Region Emilia-Romagna (Italy).

The aim of this fair is to inform and to sensitize companies by bringing them together to the same “working table” with the Institutions, where they can deal with practical-operational issues useful for the application of the law. A valuable opportunity to spread the culture of safety and to learn about new economic opportunities for businesses.
